Modern Medina residence
This 4000 square foot International Style house replaced a 60's rambler on an elongated sloped parcel of land taking full advantage of the +180 degree view. A wood clad 1-foot thick wall spans 250 feet across the site separating the living from the utility spaces of the house. Stucco metal and glass enclosures hang from and connect to the wall housing the interior and exterior living spaces.
The segmented enclosures are reflected on the inside with height differences and planar features that delineate the interior spaces. The wall is fully expressed through the inside with portals perforated through at intervals allowing passage from the living to service areas.
